LOA FOR KANAH!!!!!!!

We finally got our LOA today! 50 days wait from LID. We hope to get our TA in 6 to 8 weeks. We are grandfathered in to I-600 A and the wait time is suppose to be less than I -800 A. Time will tell. The average wait for I -800A families is around 8 weeks, and we waited 8 weeks for Keaton last Summer. All in God's timing and that will be best. As someone said last year, "the right plane, time, and plan!" We were in such a hurry to sign our LOA we realized we placed it in the FED EX box without checking the accept box. We are anxiously awaiting our hunt for the FED EX driver in our small town tomorrow to hopefully intercept the package and check it so it does not have to be sent back again next week. We know several people in the town businesses and hope to get a few helpers to flag the driver down and call us to meet him. ANXIOUS PARENTS! I felt so stupid when I got home and realized it :( I have to prepare to start packing!

Keaton is 2 years old today!

Keaton turned 2 years old today! We took him to our adoption agency picnic today. It was fun to meet other families in our area with adopted children and some waiting to adopt from China. Since we had his birthday party last week we took him to dinner Friday to our favorite restaurant in our area "The Purple Onion". Keaton loves to watch musicians, and they have music every weekend. Mr. Wiskin plays the piano on Friday's and Keaton really enjoyed hearing him play. He had a candle in his fancy tiramisu dessert.

Keaton's 2nd Birthday Party

We celebrated Keaton's birthday a week early. He wanted an Elmo cake. MOMMY made him one. My first ever attempt to make any cake! He loved it. We had the kids an Elmo face making station. We had a great day with all of our family and friends to celebrate Keaton's 2nd BD. Keaton especially loved his wagon from Grandpa Doodle Pop. It was a hit at the party, and now all through the house!

Happy Mother's Day!

This time last year we did not even know about Keaton and had been waiting patiently for 3 1/2 years for a referral. May 19th 2010 we changed to the Special Needs China program and got Keaton's referral the same day! His first birthday was May 21, 2010 the day we accepted the referral officially. We had him home as our son and a U.S. citizen Sept. 26th, 2010. Today I enjoyed my first Mother's Day with such a great little boy! He has blended right in to our lives and family from day 1. He is always smiling and happy everyday. What a blessing he is, and we are so thankful God chose for us all to be a family. We are now going to have a brother coming home in just a few more months!

Keaton enjoyed an unexpected visit from Grandma Dee Dee and BaBa! We had a picnic in the park and then he had a few minutes at home to play and show off his toys.

Happy Easter!

Keaton enjoyed his first Easter! We went to our "Sonrise Service" at 630 AM and then breakfast at church. We came home to see what the Easter Bunny brought Keaton! We had lunch with all of our family.
We also went to MUSC earlier this past week for his 6 month evaluation by the International Adoption and Palate teams. He hit all of his milestones! We also went to the Aquarium in Charleston and he enjoyed the fish and animals!

Finally our new LID!!

We finally found out our new LID ( LOG IN DATE) in China for Kanah is 4-7-2011!! Next is LOA and then TA!! We are a grandfathered I 600A family so our paper trial is different and I have to guess my wait times by what is going on with the I-800 A families for LOA and TA. Praying to travel in June! Stay tuned!
